  During a visit to Tiburon my wife convinced me to go to a dermatologist to have some spots checked out on my chest (well she actually insisted I go :) ). She sent me to Dr. Zand whose staff got me an appointment with short notice.
  
  After the standard filling out several forms I was escorted to an examination room. Dr. Zand didn't leave me waiting long, in fact it was one of the shortest waits I have had at a doctor's office in a long time. The great news was that the spots on my chest were just from aging and were not a health threat.
  
  What impressed me about Dr. Zand is that as she examined my back, chest, arms and face she stopped at each tiny spot of anything and explained to me what it was, if there was any future threat from it and what to watch out for if it changes. I was expecting a "you have no problems, you're fine". Surprisingly what I got was a great deal of knowledge about my skin and what to look for to detect problems in the future. To me, that is what the modern doctor should be doing.....helping me know when it's time get medical attention instead of waiting until its too late.
  
  Best of all Dr. Zand was very friendly and interesting to talk to. I just wish she had an office in Salt Lake City where I am from!

  I was referred to Dr. Zand by my dermatologist at the time to perform a Mohs procedure on my nose. Dr. Zand got it right on the first go around. The result was a small, hardly noticeable line on my nose. I was so impressed not only by her surgical skill, but also by her detailed explanation of the process at a pre op conference and her overall manner, that I subsequently switched to Dr. Zand as my primary dermatologist. I high recommend her.
